INFORMATIONS FOR FOREIGNERS ABOUT HEALTH INSURANCE AND PAYMENT POSSIBILITIES:

 

This is to inform you of the instances in which foreigners pay or do not pay for clinical and laboratory tests at our health facility.
Always submit your health insurance ID card or insurance document at the Reception, with your doctor and in the Blood Collection Room with the blood sample request form.

 

When foreigners DO NOT PAY for clinical and laboratory tests:

1. a foreigner working in the Czech Republic for which the employer deducts insurance premium payments to the contractual health insurance company (care is charged to the insurance company)

2. a citizen of a country of the European Union, European Economic Area and Switzerland, who is residing in the Czech Republic for an extended period of time, and did not travel to the Czech Republic for the sole purpose of health care.
He/she must be registered with a health insurance company in the Czech Republic (best with the insurance company VZP).
He/she has an insurance card or document confirmation of the Czech health insurance company with which he/she is registered.

3. a citizen of a non-EU country, who arranged insurance with the contractual insurance company VZP, a.s. (code 333) for comprehensive care (insurance card no. 169xxx) – it also covers endocrinological tests if the patient was not, prior to the arrangement of this health insurance, ill and given an endocrinological diagnosis for which he/she is treated at our facility.
The health insurance arranged with the contractual insurance company VZP, a.s. is commercial insurance for a definite period of time, i.e. the foreigner pays for the health insurance and is treated under it in the Czech Republic.

 

When foreigners PAY for clinical and laboratory tests:

1. if he/she is not insured

2. if he/she is not a citizen of a country of the European Union, European Economic Area and Switzerland that has arranged contractual insurance with the insurance company VZP, a.s. (code 333)

a) for comprehensive care (insurance card no. 169xxx) and was already ill and given an endocrinological diagnosis, for which he/she visits our health facility, before this health insurance was arranged.

b) for immediate care with basic health insurance for foreigners (insurance card no. 168xxx)
